Multi Colors or Single Color?

White or cream colors are the traditional style for wedding however many are opting for a splash of color to put more emphasis on their dress. Color on a white background really pops and can accent your expensive wedding dress. You have to be a bit careful when adding color in your flowers because you won't want to go overboard when the rest of the wedding is mostly white but it can be pleasing to the eye if done right.

On the picture above you can see some of the examples of color in a bridal bouquet. Of course, make sure the flower color matches as close as possible to the color theme of your wedding. Some colors are very hard to match and in this case white or cream is usually the best option. In some cases for very hard to find colors you can use fabric paint to match the color of the wedding. This is in case you have a color that is specially difficult to match with real or fake flowers.

Hanging Flower Balls

Using hanging flower balls allows you to decorate walkways, isles, reception areas and if your having an outdoor wedding you can even hang them from trees or use them to beautify fences for a real classy look. The picture above shows an example of what I'm talking about. These have been used to decorate the walkways but also the isles for the bride. Using metal stakes to hang plants or candle lanterns works well for these flowers for outdoor weddings. Use color coordinated ribbon to hang them and they can match the theme of your wedding.

White Flower Petals Instead of a Runner

Think out of the Box

For outdoor weddings using white flower petals in place of the white runner in the isle, as seen above, is a natural and very beautiful way to make your special day unique. This will eliminate the possibilities of a runner bunching up and making it that much difficult to walk down the isle. Many churches do not allow real flower petals because of the staining it may cause to the carpet, this is why silk flower petals are use in most indoor weddings. Most silk flower petals come in a variety of different colors and you can generally find top quality petals that you can't tell the difference until you actually touch them. Their generally less expensive than real flower petals and will give you the same look without the price.
