How To Make Toasty Dogs - Hot Dog Recipe
By cyoung35
Fun food for the whole family
When you're looking for a fun and fast lunch or dinner for the kids try this recipe and if your kids are like me it will be one of their favorites.
First you'll need some basic ingredients listed below.
1. White bread (wheat will work fine also)
2. Cheese slices (whatever style cheese you like)
3. Hot dogs (chicken, beef or turkey is fine)
4. Toothpicks
5. Cookie sheet
Take the bread slices and lay them on a non stick cookie sheet. Then take the sliced cheese and place them on top of the bread slices. Next take your uncooked hot dogs and lay them diagonal across the top of the bread and cheese. You can also do this laying the hot dog parallel to the bread and lay them down.
Now take the corners of the bread and fold them up around the top of the hot dogs, overlapping the bread corners. Then place a toothpick through the bread and hot dog to hold it in place or place them really close together like the picture if you don't have toothpicks.
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees and place in oven for approximately 15 minutes or until golden brown to your liking. The hot dog will cook as the bread is toasted and the cheese will melt. Take them out when they are to your liking and let cool for a few minuted then serve with the condiments of your choice.
This is a simple and fast recipe that kids love and will be something they remember for the rest of their lives. Let us know what your kids say by leaving a comment below. Happy eating.

Nice! There're no kids in my house, but I'm sure my bf will enjoy this!
Excellent! Bookmarked!
Since my kids consider hot dogs a separate food group, this is a great idea.
